Our Occupational Therapists
Kaely Harmer, OTR
Kaely Harmer, OTR is a Michigan-based occupational therapist with more than three years of experience in inpatient behavioral health settings, where she worked closely with psychiatric populations. She earned both her Master of Occupational Therapy and her Bachelor of Rehabilitative Medicine from Saginaw Valley State University.
Kaely has worked with adults who are lifelong neurodivergent as well as those who have acquired neurodivergence through brain injury or neurodegenerative conditions. Her time in psychiatric care shaped a trauma-informed, whole-person approach that she brings to every session.
Her practice is grounded in the belief that neurodivergent traits are not deficits to be “fixed,” but differences to be understood and worked with. Rather than relying on generic treatment recommendations, Kaely provides individualized, strengths-based, client-led care that reflects each person’s goals, needs, and lived experience.
Beyond her clinical work, Kaely has mentored occupational therapy students during fieldwork placements and has delivered university lectures. She is committed to helping shape the next generation of therapists with the same neurodiversity-affirming, whole-person values that guide her own practice.
