Our Occupational Therapists
Savannah Pryor, OTR
Savannah Pryor, OTR has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 10 years, with a professional background that also includes experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals of all ages and abilities, including young children, adolescents, and adults.
Her experience includes feeding therapy, ADHD, and a variety of genetic and neurological conditions. She has a special interest in incorporating Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Assistive Technology, and adaptive equipment into therapy to support communication, participation, and independence in everyday life. She also enjoys adapting and rewiring toys to create switch-accessible activities and finding creative solutions that make play, communication, and daily activities more accessible.
What Savannah values most about Occupational Therapy is its holistic approach. Rather than focusing on an isolated skill, she looks at the whole person and how they participate in the activities that make up their everyday lives. Therapy may sometimes look like simple play, but purposeful play can have an incredible impact while supporting motor, sensory, cognitive, communication, and social skills.
Savannah believes families and caregivers are an essential part of the therapy process. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is helping caregivers develop practical strategies they can use beyond the therapy session, whether that means navigating community outings, increasing independence with activities at home, improving functional communication, or advocating for an individual’s needs through every age and stage of life.
As an Occupational Therapist and a mother of three boys, Savannah also understands that everyday life does not always happen according to plan. Her goal is to meet individuals and families where they are, celebrate progress both big and small, and help build a supportive community around them.
Savannah considers it a privilege to partner with individuals and their families as they work toward greater independence, communication, participation, and the skills needed for everyday life.
